‘Legal principles and political morality today stand defeated at the hands of opportunist politics’ : MK Stalin on Maharashtra Developments

@mkstalin :

  • What does one compare the disgusting and despicable political situation in Maharashtra to?
  • Terming it a murder of democracy would not even be sufficient, it would seem.
  • Legal principles and political morality today stand defeated at the hands of opportunist politics.
  • Our country’s revered constitutional principles have been thrown to the bin by these actions.
  • Those who have attained power by misusing the offices of the President and Governor and by indirect threats of agencies have effectively sounded the death knell for democracy.

  • The President said that development and empowerment of tribals is linked to inclusive growth as well as to our internal security. Governors can give all the proper guidance by using the constitutional powers given to them, to improve the lives of tribal communities.
  • The President emphasised that optimal use and conservation of water resources is one of the highest priorities of our country. We should make the Jal Shakti Abhiyan a mass movement like the Swachh Bharat Mission.

Do your own SWOT Analysis : JP Nadda addressing Youth Parliament of India 2019 in Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat

  • In the 60s-70s, everyone wanted to become a doctor or engineer in India. It shifted to management in the 80s.
  • After 90s, everyone turned to bureaucracy. I want to tell the youth that we must try to find yourself in what you are, and do your own SWOT analysis.
  • We should know all trades, and we should be master of one.
  • We should get into one subject in detail and learn all about it. Shallow literature always overtakes deep literature. This is our weakness and we must overcome it.
